CD Cover
I first came up with a fictional band name, which ended up being Underground Laboratories. I imagine this to be some kind of techno band, so I decided to make the CD cover design reflect this by using a lot of geometric shapes. The font used for the band name and album title, OCR A std, is also very computer-oriented, so I think it represents the band well. The band name is large and centered on the front cover to make it easily readable. On the back, I decided to have the track titles tabbed in different places to create some movement, and make the design less boring. The circle around the text on the back cover was for this purpose as well. The circle also made it convenient to place the barcode and record company logo (Reversable Records) in the bottom corners of the image, where they don't interfere with the track information.
